I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in reproductive psychiatric mental health care. I provide medication management and care planning for women across the lifespan, including pregnant and breastfeeding women. I provide professional and community education/training throughout the state of Kansas and nationally.
My nursing career has been dedicated to maternal and child health and wellness. I am a former labor and delivery nurse, breastfeeding educator, and doula. In addition to earning my Doctor of Nursing Practice with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health, I have received extensive training in women's mental health and I am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health provider. I am the founder of Build Your Village, a community organization dedicated to providing education, advocacy, and mental health peer support services for parents. I serve as President of Postpartum Support International Kansas Chapter, volunteer as a Kansas PSI support coordinator, and facilitate a weekly perinatal mental health peer support group.
